Descripció de l'obra

The mural depicts a woman unearthing herself, like an archaeological Venus figurine, in a desert, almost a wasteland, where survival and life are harsh. The woman extends a hand and creates a flower. She creates life, and then an entire forest.

Woman as creator is one of the oldest and most powerful archetypes in our culture: not only as a biological mother, but as a cosmic principle of generation, as a force that transforms inert matter into life. Woman and nature share a symbolic alliance and the same logic of bringing forth what does not yet exist.

This connects directly to the rebirth of the Besòs River. For decades, the river was a wounded, almost sterile body. However, it regained its capacity to give life when it was allowed to breathe. The river thus becomes an image of ecological motherhood: when nature is respected, it gives birth to entire ecosystems anew.

The transition from desert to lush forest in the mural reflects this natural return: where there had been death, now there is growth, movement, animals, ecosystem.
