Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, he lived for more than a decade in the USA, between Boston, New York and Miami, and is currently a resident of Barcelona.

His style is geometric, whether in abstract or figurative pieces, with transparencies and color overlays being what characterize his work.

When asked about his influences, he emphasized how “Venezuelan Kineticism” or “Kinetic Art” started the process, but it was the city of Barcelona and all the contemporary urban artists, mostly from Spain, who shaped what SLOMO represents in his paintings, walls, or sculptures today.

By chance, or perhaps by unconscious design, Slomo surrounded himself at one point in his life with influential artists, cities, places, and a flourishing Wynwood, Miami scene, which he was fortunate enough to experience firsthand, and which encouraged him to immerse himself and be inspired by art and creation.
