One of the pioneers of graffiti in Catalonia: Werens, Ramon Puig. An artist from Sabadell who has spent more than three decades filling the streets of Catalonia with color and controversy. Trained at the Massana School of Design and the London College of Printing, he lived through the emergence of the European graffiti movement, a style distinct from its origins in the USA.

His urban artworks are scattered across countless walls everywhere. Places as diverse as Marrakesh, Venice, Berlin, Mumbai, New York, Sarajevo, London, Lisbon and many others have seen his flowers sprout from the cracks in the asphalt.

But the truth is that what Werens’ graffiti conveys, beyond aesthetics, is denunciation and vindication.
