Description of the art
If we’re talking about something we all have in common, perhaps one of the things we tend to leave for last is that we all dream, in one way or another. Dreams have always played a significant role in our lives, and yet we are still far from fully understanding their true nature. To dream is to create in its purest form, and paper has long been the medium that has allowed great dreamers to materialize their ideas. To dream is to fly, and to fly is to experience the world from another perspective. The mural reflects these thoughts; the figure of the paper bird not only represents the act of flying, but also embodies multiple interpretations: creation, imagination, the versatility of the material (fragile or resistant depending on its shape), and, of course, the fauna of the environment where the artwork is created. This mural is an invitation to reflect on this, on what happens within our own dreams, and how we might learn from them.
