Career

Lorenzo Gómez, known artistically as “Masnah,” is an artist born in Bogotá, Colombia, who currently resides in New York. His passion for art awoke in childhood, influenced by his grandmother, who painted watercolors, and by the impact of seeing graffiti on the street and in classic books like Subway Art.

Around the age of 13 or 14, he began painting traditional lettering and graffiti, and at 18 he made the decision to move to New York to dedicate himself to art full-time.

Over the years, his style has evolved: he has moved away from classic lettering graffiti (which he considers a more internal language of the guild) to develop a style based on pixelated characters and influenced by the internet and video games.

Masnah defines himself as an “art explorer” whose profession combines the world of digital programming, studio work, and painting in public spaces.
