The art piece “Creación” evokes the mystical origin of the universe according to the Aztec cosmovision in pre-Hispanic Mexico. In it, Ometéotl, the dual essence of all that exists, manifests as an ancestral skull, while Quetzalcóati, the feathered serpent, dances in undulating forms behind him. Both represent the gods of creation and, together, give life to day and night, reflected in the colors of the mural: one half shines with sunlight, while the other is immersed in the depths of darkness, wrapped in shades of blue.
