Description of the art

Drift: “The deviation of a vessel from its true course due to the effect of wind, sea or current”.
This time, the idea was to move away from a static image and create a mural that told a story.
The main inspiration came from Ernest Hemingway’s book “The Old Man and the Sea”
A work that explores loneliness and the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity, amongst other themes.
The mural features elements that represent the energy and power of nature, which in turn influence human beings.
I decided to create it using shades ranging from white to black, including mid-tones (greys), using the chiaroscuro technique (the contrast between light and shadow).
The idea is that light should take precedence over shadows.

Technique

Spray (Aerosol) and stencils
