Description of the art
Under the title “Naturaleza” I wanted to reflect the transformation of the Besòs River, once degraded and now a place teeming with life and nature.
The Besòs River, now called the “Parque Fluvial del Besòs”, has undergone a remarkable change in the last 20 years: it went from being the most polluted river in Europe to becoming a natural environment where animals have returned, and at the same time, people have also returned, as it is a place visited by millions every year.
Throughout three decades of work, nature has always been a major influence on me. This can be seen in some of my painting series, such as “Continuous Nature,” “Abstract Nature,” and “Color, Form, and Matter,” among others, since I have always found in it starting points for my creative work.
In this art piece there is a series of characters that evoke, in an abstract way, some of the animals and birds of the river, using vibrant and light colors that convey that natural environment, thus offering multiple readings in its composition.
